EE Solutions and HeJian Technology Team Up in 0.18um Design Flow

Companies Leverage HeJian Chip Fabrication Service and EE Solutions IC Design Service to Serve Deep Submicron (0.18um) ASIC Market Demand World Wide

Santa Clara, CA – May 9th, 2005 – EE Solutions, one of the major players in providing turnkey design services, today announced it has partnered with chip manufacturing company HeJian of Su Zhou, China, to establish a deep submicron (0.18um) reference design flow targeted for the China market. The partnership reaffirmed EE Solutions's design and services capabilities in the deep submicron arena, enabling it to meet world wide demand for its ASIC design service offerings with fast turnaround time.

The partnership involves both companies' design teams delivering a 0.18um based reference design flow. Companies that do not have prior tape-out experiences may use the reference flow as a guideline to complete their design tasks. The first phase of the joint partnership focuses on Timing Closure and Power Integrity design issues. Both teams identified a set of design tools from various EDA vendors, created a set of reference designs, and verified the designs in each of the design stages to create a GDS file. Furthermore, the GDS file was processed at HeJian's Su Zhou foundry, verified on a test chip and provided valuable information for future enhancements. “Our design flow is unique in that it is a hybrid system. It uses the best tools from various EDA vendors and we also provide a silicon proven reference design to share with our design partners,” said Director of CAD Design Team, SK Lin of EE Solutions.
